The Spectre Forest

The Spectre Island consists of a hidden forest and river isolated from the rest of Earth. It can only be found by falling asleep in the forests on Earth. Very few humans have encountered this mysterious place. Upon entering this world, a sound similar to distant chimes can be heard. The temperature is mild and comfortable, and a light, pink fog blankets the surroundings. The gravity is similar to that of Earth’s moon. A large tent can be found equipped with a television, laptop, and smartphone. None of the devices work, but they are in perfect condition. Despite the name of the island, it is a very safe and relaxing place. The forest is very lush with a large variety of vegetation such as trees, bushes, and flowers. There is also a river that cuts the land in two called the Soothing River. In this river, many variations of coral can be found. There are many different trees ranging from apple trees to palm trees. Small blue crystals have been found scattered across the island. Nobody knows the purpose of these crystals. Perhaps they are used as an energy source. The cave across the river contains rocks full of these crystals. Stars hang from the sky like lightbulbs. Blue flowers are abundant throughout the island, giving the air a sweet smell. The only animal life is the blue fireflies who swarm around various areas. Some people have noticed a small house located in the fog despite there being no other human life reported within the area. One person described Spectre Island as dream-like. To exit the forest, the person must fall asleep on the island. Once they wake up, there will be no trace of the forest. Any fruit, crystal, or flower taken by the person will disappear once they have woken up. Does Spectre Island truly exist, or is it all just a hallucination…?

I created this world to give myself a safe space to be alone. I was originally going for a cyberpunk future theme, but I think going a more soothing route was a better decision overall.
